Information has never been so accessible as it is right now. So if your child insists she needs to transition, you can easily trust Google for wisdom and guidance . . . or not! Face to face help is best, especially from someone with training and/or personal experience. But that can be expensive!
My friends and I will be available online to meet on the first Tuesday of every month. If you fall into one of the following categories, you can register for top notch advice.
Friends or family members of someone who is LGBT. (7:30 pm ET)
One who actually struggles with unwanted same-sex-attraction or gender dysphoria. (8:30 pm ET)
Next-Gen leaders who want the perspective of people who have actually been in LGBT ministry for years. (9:30 pm ET)
There’s even a quarterly meeting for clergy, so if your pastor would like to air some concerns and get advice, they can jump in on our first meeting Tuesday, December 3rd at 4:00 pm ET.
But remember, you must register ahead of time at this link from Transforming Congregations: https://transformingcongregations.org/meetings.
In fact, as you are reading this now, you may have a friend or family member who could use this support as well. So why not share?
So who are my friends?
Garry Ingraham whose work has been featured on this blog (check here and here), has enlisted Debra Baty and me to join him in providing online support every month of the year. This is part of an effort to expand the ministry and reach of Transforming Congregations, a trusted ministry that has been around for decades.
And you may remember my recent recommendation of Debra Baty’s blog Resources4Redemption. Speaking from her own testimony and informed by years of study, she can address a variety of matters for anyone who will jump in with us on First Tuesdays.
You are not alone! If you fit one of the above categories, we will travel with you. Simply click the link and sign up for the discussion that interests you most. You will get by with a little help from my friends!
