.Garry Ingraham, whose teaching was featured in a special Zoom offering for T-Surfing Supporters, is a trusted voice on LGBTQ+ social issues. He alerted me to a measure passing through the US Department of Education that would weaponize Title IX for the proponents of gender ideology. In essence, it will greatly limit parental rights when it comes to kids being convinced they are gender fluid and trans in grades K through 12.
I checked his sources and it seems Garry’s concern is not only legit, but urgent. Here is the website for the Child and Parental Rights Campaign.
Their efforts to combat this latest ploy have been featured by several well-known ministries. Here’s a description of this from Breakpoint.
I am convinced the gender ideology taking over the National Education Association and many public school systems is raw evil. Countries in Europe are already rejecting gender ideology and the “affirmative care” approach to gender dysphoria. One day our culture will wake up to the facts and reject it as well. But in the meantime, kids will be the victims.
Read it over prayerfully and take action as you see fit. The deadline is September 12th.

I've said before that children should not be getting gender affirming surgeries because it is such a permanent thing. That is not to say that adults can't choose that option if they want to. So, if the law is calling for children to be able to get surgery without their parents' consent, then I would be against that, simply on the basis of the fact that kids don't have a fully developed pre-frontal lobe of their brain until their early 20s. I wouldn't be against a child choosing a different hairstyle or clothes, but those are things that are not permanent.
