It all depends on your answers to three questions: 1.) Do you live in Ohio above I-70? 2.) Is your vacation scheduled for the first week of August? 3.) Do you long for the Church to be better equipped to deal with the sexual chaos engulfing our kids?
Here’s the deal. There’s another one day seminar scheduled for Saturday, August 5th, just 20 minutes east of Akron.
Community Bible Church of Rootstown, OH will be the host site for Leading with Love: Building Bridges to Sexual Wholeness. This day of teaching will be nearly identical to the event held in Western PA back in March which received glowing feedback. In fact, the chief driver behind this seminar is a retired pastor who traveled to PA in March. He insisted that we needed to bring this content to the Buckeye state ASAP.
Yes, the same speakers and topics as in March:
Debra Baty, Chair of the Sexuality Task Force for the Wesleyan Covenant Association, will open the day by addressing the theology behind Sexual Holiness, Wholeness, and Brokenness. Her breakout sessions will again present a critical look at Sexual Orientation Ideology and Gender Ideology.
Garry Ingraham, founder of the Love and Truth Network and director of Transforming Congregations will give practical advice on Transgenderism and Ministry to the Same-Sex Attracted. At the end of the day, prior to a FAQ panel discussion, Garry will also speak to the matter of creating a congregational culture shift to enable more effective ministry.
Then a guy named Mark Ongley, who blogs right here at Tsunami Surfing, will do breakout sessions on two topics: “Sexuality and Today’s Youth,” and “Ministry to the Abused.”
