So sorry to hear that you and Lauri had Covid again. I recently had it for the second time as well. I got Paxlovid, which I think was helpful, but it has its own side effects. Having Covid feels like being hit by a bus. I think that the new year is always a good moment to have some time in prayer about what is and is not beneficial in your life. I like to focus on my own walk with Christ because, after all, I'm the only person I can control.

You know better than most the risk of getting Covid in Lauri's condition. We successfully avoided it until now. By God's grace, she'd had an IV treatment to boost her immune system just two days before I tested positive, so we believe that helped her through the crud. Still praying for you, sister!

Yeah, getting Covid on top of what Lauri and I are already facing has the potential to be quite dangerous. The first time, I turned jaundiced, but I refused to go to the ER. Eventually, I returned to my regular color. I just hate ERs enough that I didn't care what happened at that point. I'm praying you and Lauri regain everything that Covid may have taken. Onward and upward!

No apologies needed ... particularly given the very busy season and your compromising illnesses!
