In my religious tradition, death is defined as the separation of the soul/spirit from the body, as in how on the cross Jesus commended his spirit into the Father’s hands. What that poor child experienced was a kind of dying an unholy living death, repeated again and again. Lord, have mercy on her and on us all. I believe you said pastors would be seeing an increase in people dealing with sexual sin and I can affirm that prediction is coming true. God bless your work.
Love how you put that, Eric: "an unholy living death, repeated again and again."
Sadly, it will indeed continue to get worse. When people reach a desperate point, will any local churches or pastors be prepared? Blessings to you, brother!
It’s difficult, if not impossible, to wrap one’s mind around the horrifying realities described in your post, Mark. Something inside of us is outrightly repulsed by such unimaginable degradation while at the same time feeling a profound sense of pity, mercifulness and compassionate caring. Providentially that is how the crucified God pours out his suffering and restoring love upon us, in us and through us . . . . Lily’s name is written on HIS hand! Can it really be true? It is! Loving Father, Lily’s condition is NOT beyond your reach. Stamp Your Own Image deep on her heart; restore and sustain her, body, mind and soul in preparation for the great marriage feast of Christ, her true heavenly Bridegroom. Amen.

What a very sad story. The dissociation piece makes sense, but it causes untold harm. I feel for everyone impacted by these horrors. Lord, have mercy!
No question. Such extreme dissociation makes one very vulnerable emotionally and spiritually. Lord, have mercy indeed.

I always love your heart and perspective, Norman. I can never imagine your heart becoming hardened to this kind of evil.
